The Man behind Boss IT

My IT journey with tech started in 1987, at age seven. A blinking cursor on a 286, an MS-DOS manual I could barely read, and a sense of possibility that’s never left me. By eight, I’d formatted my mum’s PC, and undeleted it before she found out.

Since then, I’ve been breaking, building, programming, and learning everything I can about how systems really work.

I run Boss IT Solutions in Orange, NSW. I’ve spent the past two decades being the person clients call when things go seriously wrong. Ransomware, Domain lockouts, Mail problems, Vendor disputes (Telstra, Optus). I’ve recovered businesses from failed migrations, reversed vendor traps, cleaned up after negligent providers, and helped people regain control of their digital lives.

I work across government, corporate, small business and home. Ive helped countless individuals and families who were overbilled, underserviced, or simply forgotten by the industry.

My home is a test lab. 20+ devices running Linux, Windows, macOS, Android, iOS on Hardened Router/Firewall. A fleet of VPS boxes, stacked projects in DigitalOcean and 1984 Hosting, private cloud stacks using Mailcow, NGINX, DAVx, and Nextcloud. I build and maintain my own infrastructure so I can stay sharp and independent and assist more security focused clients.

I build games and tools across Unity, Unreal, and Godot – model in Blender, and produce music in FL Studio with a Yamaha P-125 and a 7-string guitar. I also run VPS labs, tinker with Linux distros, explore white-hat cybersecurity, and lift heavy weights.

Above all, I care about helping people, especially those left behind by tech.

If I find an old 486 or a Honeywell mouse… It’s Christmas.
